Food crisis - It never went away

Jeffrey Sachs starting the SIPA Columbia talk pretty drastically and to the point, listing challenges and actions. If you don't have the time for the whole discussion, don't miss the first 15 minutes of Jeffrey Sachs. John Holmes follows by detailing the UN taskforce, Thoraya Ahmed Obaid emphasising the importance to target women as a very important part of the solution and Ajaykumar Manubhai Vashee about the challenges of the local agriculture, the small farmers.

Join us at the OpenEspresso party on Friday 12 Sep 2008

Together with our 3 fellow Seedcamp finalists from Berlin and Potsdam we would like to invite you to a nice evening in the Barist Restaurant / Bar Friday 12 Sep 2008 at 5.30pm open-end.

4 out of 22 finalists are from Berlin, that is quite astonishing and worth celebrating.  And that's why we decided with Toksta, Quillp and Yoose to organise the networking evening.

We have named it OpenEspresso, as we all try to regularly join the monthly OpenCoffeeClub meetings, which in Berlin take place in the Cafe Caras every last Friday of the month.  So this week is a spontaneous get together and also a thank you to OpenCoffeeClub.
